Senior Citizens Forum

As a part of celebration of International Year of the Aged, in the year 1983, CIESCO organized a new wing of elderly personalities in society known by the name CIESCO Senior Citizens’ Forum. It is a novel step of the CIESCO. The forum aims at creative use of rich experience, matured wisdom and leisure time of senior citizens of the society for the well-being of the distressed persons in society including senior citizens. Helpage scheme, Geriatric Medical Camp, Conciliation Committee etc. are important projects of this wing. It pays a sum of rupees 400 as pension per month to one hundred poor and needy elderly persons, both male and female. This is the largest pension scheme in Kerala State launched by Non Governmental Organizations.
